In this fun 7-week acting course for beginners, our teacher will teach you all you need to start your theatrical journey. Acting techniques, how to use your body and voice, build a character, how to learn your lines so you can stay open to your impulses. Leila will also teach the basic Meisner technique using the Repetition Exercise and other exercises to help students build a truthful connection with their scene partners and as part of a larger group.
Through a combo of improvisation games and theater exercises, you will train your capacity to adapt quickly to the scene and have a lot of fun! You will have the freedom to discover your abilities in a safe environment. The classes will give you a chance to connect to your authentic self and the stories that make you who you are. In this way, you will build your self-confidence and communication skills, both as actors and in your daily life.
