Terms & Conditions - Act Attack Training Courses

Act Attack is Committed to Ensure That:

  • Τhe Courses are taught by competent, inspirational and motivational teachers;
  • Most of the classes of each course are taught by the same Teacher; sometimes a teacher can be sick or unavailable for an urgent reason. In this case, we always find a sub-teacher with the same experience that will continue the work & course plan of the original teacher.
  • If there are any changes to the course schedules, Act Attack will inform the students as soon as possible. We need at least 6-8 students registered per course to be able to facilitate a lesson and create dynamic groups. As a theater school with more than 10 courses per week and hundreds of students in many different cities, we promise that we give our very best to accommodate everyone 🙂
  • Most Act Attack courses are suitable for total beginners and do not include a graduation show at the end. Depending on demand, the beginner's courses can continue to intermediate & advanced courses, with a final graduation performance. Act Attack always does its best to prioritize the growth & satisfaction of their students. We can adapt the course structure if needed, according to the preferences and capabilities of each group.

Priority is given to Students who booked a Full Course in advance (students who book a Trial Class, are only entitled to access to the Full Course if there are still spots available).

The Student Shall:

  1. Pay (via bank transfer, payment link or via our new e-shop)
    • the full price of a full course in advance and before the date of the first class/trial, if they have chosen a full course or a course package.
      OR
    • the full price of a full course or package (minus the price of the trial class if already taken) before the second group class starts, if they liked the trial class and decided to continue with the full course/package.
      OR
    • the price of the trial class in advance and before the date of the first class, if they have chosen only a trial class.
  2. Follow the course terms below:
We want to make sure the class has a private, safe and growing atmosphere 🤗. For that reason,

3.1. Students must act in a respectful, polite and non-discriminatory way to their co-students and the teacher, during the class. Act Attack is zero tolerance against any type of discrimination, harassment or bullying regarding sex, gender, race, religion or belief and disability. We ensure that our teachers have the experience and do their absolute best to create a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic & team-oriented space, while always being open to feedback and improvement 🤗. Students should also follow the instructions of the teacher during a class without judging the teacher or others and communicate with the teacher clearly and in advance, for any necessary feedback/personal requests regarding the course and its structure. All participants must take care of the space/studio as well. In case there is any damage caused by accident or purpose, neither Act Attack nor the teacher is liable/responsible for the costs.

3.2. Attend at least 80% of each course booked (= 4/6 or 5/7 or 6/8 classes) and be present/focused on the class. Regular attendance & engagement significantly affects the group dynamics & energy as well as provide the students with increased opportunities to partake in pair- and group activities. It is beneficial for a student to commit to the majority of the lessons in a course to ensure his/her personal & the group´s growth, also because each succeeding lesson will build on the skills and activities of the previous lesson. If a student is absent, late or not present/engaged in more than 2 group classes per course, then unfortunately he/she will not be eligible to continue the course. We typically adhere to our standard class packages to maintain competitive pricing and fulfill fixed commitments to teachers and studios. Deviating from this package is not our norm due to financial considerations. However, we may consider a discount up to 20-30 EUR as an exception if a student notifies us in advance of missing up to 2 classes. 🌼

3.3. Inform the Teacher & the group in advance in case he/she cannot arrive at a group course on time or cannot attend for any reason, by writing an instant Whatsapp message in the group chat, at least 1-2 hours before the start of a group class.

3.4. Inform Act Attack before a group class starts about any relevant medical conditions that may impact the student's participation & safety. If the student fails to communicate this, Act Attack cannot be held liable, in case the student needs to interrupt or terminate the group Course for their own safety, or the safety of their classmates.

3.5. Act Attack sometimes asks a community assistant or the teacher to take photos/videos/stories (with the consent of the students) in the classes for 2 reasons:
    • A. To share them with the students so they can have a nice memory of the course and see their work, and,
    • B. To use some of them (the best ones) in our Instagram and/or Facebook community page, in order to grow our community and give an idea of the nice things we do 🙂. We won't use photos/videos with the face of any student who wants to be excluded from social media and in case they were already posted by mistake and requested by the student, they will be immediately removed. Previous photos to get an idea are here: www.instagram.com/actattacktheater

Amendments, Credits, Cancellations & Refunds

  1. Act Attack has the right to reschedule the starting & finishing dates of a course, whenever this is necessary. This can happen for one or more of the following reasons (from the most common to the least common):
    • in order to fulfil the class with the minimum amount of students needed (we need at least 7-8 students fully registered),
    • in case of sickness/urgent unavailability of a teacher or a studio,
    • in case of very bad weather conditions, or,
    • when other urgent safety/health circumstances apply (lockdowns etc).

Act Attack will inform the students of this potential change in advance, as soon as possible. Act Attack is not obliged to provide a refund to the students regarding this change, if the new dates apply within 3 weeks after the original starting date. Of course, in the (rare) case that the course cannot happen after this time or is cancelled for any reason, a FULL REFUND will be provided to the student.
  2. Students who paid but cannot/don’t want to attend a complete course/course package for any reason, have the right to request only for an Amendment or Credit (for next season) and only if all of the following cases apply:
    • A) the amendment/credit for next season is asked the latest 1 week before the start of each group course (that the student originally registered for),
    • B) we have at least 8 more students fully registered in the course that the student dropped out of, or,
    • C) the amendment/credit request is for another course in the same or next season that has spots left and is requested the latest 1 day before the start (of the new chosen course).
  3. Act Attack grants Students/every Student the right to withdraw/cancel/refund at least 30 (thirty) days before the original starting date of a group/private course. The Student may request a refund without having to give any reason to revoke the Course Agreement during this 30-day period. Any request addressed after this deadline will not be considered because: we count on the minimum amount of registrations to facilitate our courses and we book the studios long in advance. Within a period of less than 3-4 weeks is difficult for us to find a student that can take the place of the student who cancels. Also in some cities, our teachers are already paid according to the number of students that booked a full course/package. Booking of separate classes, discounts or partial refunds to the students because they can/want to attend a specific number of classes (apart from the trial or a special offer/package Act Attack already offers), is not possible. Exceptions for urgent medical reasons may apply.
  4. Act Attack has the right to cancel the participation of the course for a student, in case the student does not follow the rules above (not informing the group on time about absences, following the hygienic rules, not being responsible for the safety of the other students or affecting the group dynamics & energy negatively by not being present/engaged to the class).
  5. In order to offer the best possible experience, informative and quality content, and access to resources, Students may need to allow access to limited personal information (first name, last name, email address, phone number). The information collected is for the exclusive use of Act Attack. Act Attack will not share personal data with any third party.
  6. Act Attack is not responsible for any injuries or medical conditions being caused by a student to another student inside or during the classes. Act Attack and the teacher will do their best to make sure that safety is ensured in every class.

Payment Terms for Businesses

We send our offer with all the details (key points of the content, price, teacher name, location, date) via email to the company that is interested in a business workshop/event. After the offer is accepted, we send the invoice with or without VAT (depending if the company is registered in NL or not).

The invoices must be paid within 14 days after they are sent. We usually send the invoices 4-10 days before the event takes place. If it's within the deadline (14 days), as an exception the invoice can also be paid shortly after the start of the event (we count on the customer's confirmation of our offer and reliability).
